Remote desktop, made smooth
Your computer, on any screen. At 120 frames per second.
SilkRemote streams your Mac or PC to your phone, tablet or any browser, smooth enough for real work: scroll, type and drag as if you were sitting in front of it. Pair by scanning a QR code. No VPN, no port forwarding.
Set up in under a minute
No password to choose and nothing to configure on your router.
- 1
Install SilkRemote on your computer
Sign in here, download the Mac or Windows app and open it. It lives in the menu bar or tray.
- 2
Scan the QR code
Point your phone's camera at it. SilkRemote opens in the browser, or in the Android app if you have it.
- 3
You're in
Next time just tap your computer. It connects directly whenever it can, and through the encrypted relay when it can't.
Built for latency, end to end
Most remote desktops are built for occasional IT support. SilkRemote is built to be used all day.
Hardware all the way
GPU capture, a low-latency hardware encoder and your device's hardware decoder with no reorder buffering. Every frame is shown the moment it arrives.
Direct, peer to peer
SilkRemote connects your devices straight to each other whenever it can, and through an encrypted relay only when it can't.
Fits your screen
The desktop takes your device's exact shape (phone, tablet or a Samsung DeX monitor) so there are no black bars.
Real keyboard shortcuts
⌘Tab, ⌘Space and ⌘C/⌘V reach the Mac from Android and DeX keyboards, and from desktop browsers in full screen.
Sound included
The computer's audio plays on your device, muted on the computer while you're connected and restored afterwards.
Private by design
Devices pair with keys that never leave them. Remove a device in one click and it's cut off immediately.
Free on your network. Pro from anywhere.

Questions
Is it safe to leave running?
Only devices you paired by scanning the code on your computer can connect, and each one proves itself with a key stored on that device. Sessions are encrypted end to end (ECDH P-256 and AES-256-GCM), including through our relay.
What do I need on my phone or tablet?
Nothing to start with: the web app works in Chrome, Edge and Safari 17+, and installs to the home screen on iPhone and iPad. On Android, the app passes keyboard shortcuts through and works with Samsung DeX.
Windows?
The Windows host is in beta. It has the same pairing, encryption and relay as the Mac app; capture is the main monitor at its native refresh rate.
What happens after the trial?
Everything keeps working on your own network (and over your own VPN). Only connecting from anywhere else needs Pro.
Why do I sign in to download?
Your Tavyr account keeps your downloads and your Pro license key in one place, so you can find them on any device. Google sign-in, no new password.
